The notion of “Presentification” (Benoit-Barné and Cooren, 2009) suggests that authority is also produced by making sources of authority present in interaction. This workshop will be a unique opportunity to better understand the trajectory of this intriguing notion. François Cooren will present the concept of “presentification”, its history, its development and its place in his work and in the literature in organizational communication and management studies. Then, Jane Lê, followed by Joëlle Basque and Nora Meziani, will respectively present two empirical studies showing how organizational actors “presentify their boss” in their conversations and strategic activities. Join us to know everything you always wanted to know about this notion… but never dared to ask!
Cette conférence est organisée conjointement avec la Chaire en gestion stratégique en contexte pluraliste.
