Résumé/Abstract:
Leadership vocabulary is popular and seductive and easily lead to ’everything and nothing’ as well as wishful thinking. It often has a stupefying effect, and can be seen as an example of a ‘functional stupidity’, boosting the identity and ego of managers (eager to see themselves as leaders) and turning professionals and other employees into followers. This is, arguably, increasingly popular in contemporary organizations (and among academics). The talk addresses leadership and its alternatives, arguing for reflexive leadership – where managers and subordinates consider and work with a mix of modes of organizing workplace relations, both asymmetrical (leadership, management, power) and symmetrical (network relations, group work, autonomy).
Cette conférence est organisée conjointement avec la chaire en gestion stratégique en contexte pluraliste
